Registration for Vikings’ Winter 23/24 Season is Open!
Winter season starts December 12th!
Founded in 2007, Santa Monica Vikings Youth Lacrosse is one of the oldest lacrosse programs in Los Angeles and has been instrumental in promoting and growing both the game and the supporting infrastructure for lacrosse in West LA and in the South Bay.
We focus on character, teamwork, responsibility and – most importantly – FUN. Ours is a culture of inclusion and respect. We take great pride in teaching the game to new players as well as developing and honing the skills of our more experienced players.
We welcome all players regardless of experience and do everything we can to make every child’s time playing lacrosse as positive and enjoyable as possible. After all, every board member is also a parent of at least one Vikings player.
SM Vikings has a long history of success in competition which we attribute to our coaches, to our Vikings culture and most importantly to the fun that our kids have.
TEAMS
We will host teams in the following divisions as defined by current school grade:
BOYS: K/1, 2/3, 4/5, 6-8, 7-8
GIRLS: K-2, 3-5, 6-8
PRACTICES
Practices will be at Belmar and Airport Parks in Santa Monica 5:30-7:00 PM.
BOYS K-1: Thursdays (Airport)
GIRLS K-2: Tuesdays (Airport)
BOYS 2/3 & 4/5: Tuesdays & Thursdays (Airport)
BOYS 6/7 & 7/8: Wednesdays (Belmar) & Fridays (Airport)
GIRLS 3-5 & G6-8: Tuesdays & Thursdays (Airport)
The first week of practices will begin Tuesday, December 12.
GAMES
In cooperation with our partners at Dragons, Vikings will be managing the Westside Sixes lacrosse season.
Sixes is an exciting variation on our beloved game and is picking up a lot of supporters and participants because it is the format that will be played in the 2028 Olympic games.
The Westside Sixes winter league will be a fun, developmentally structured season designed to provide each athlete with the greatest opportunity to advance their skill set from beginners to advanced players.

K-2 – 8:00am-9:30am
3-5 – 9:30am-11:00am
Middle School – 11:00am-12:30pm
Boys @ Belmar
K/1 – 8:00am-9:30am
2/3 – 9:30am-11am
Boys @ Santa Monica High School
4/5 – 2:00pm-3:30pm
Middle School – 3:30pm-5:00pm
UNIFORMS
If you are new to VIKINGS or if your child needs a new uniform, we will be providing a link to purchase.
USAL MEMBERSHIP
For liability reasons, VIKINGS (like nearly all rec lacrosse programs throughout the country), requires a current valid USA Lacrosse membership. If you have not renewed your existing USL membership please do so before registration. If you are new too VIKINGS and to lacrosse, you may purchase a USAL membership for your player at www.uslacrosse.org. USAL fees are not part of or included in VIKINGS registration fees and VIKINGS has no control over cost or terms.
FEES
Payments for VIKINGS must be made with credit card inasmuch as we are no longer able to accept checks or other forms of payment. Please be aware of this and understand that the CC processing fee is something over which we have no control. We apologize for any inconvenience relating to the payment process and we appreciate your understanding.
